Coalition childcare plans questioned by Nick Clegg

Nick Clegg's admission has caused confusion over the government's childcare policy, with Labour describing the plans as in "chaos".

The Conservative education minister, Elizabeth Truss, told MPs the current system was not working and was unaffordable for many people.
