EU referendum: Tories publish draft bill
David Cameron has tried to calm divisions within his party about Europe, by announcing plans for a draft bill to guarantee a referendum on Britain's membership of the EU.
The move appears to be an attempt to persuade dozens of Conservative MPs to drop their plan to vote against part of the Queen's Speech, after it failed to mention the issue.
The announcement was made during the Prime Minister's current trip to the United States.
