Next EU Commission president depends on 2014 elections

The top job in the European Parliament could - for once - depend on the electors, with the next chance to vote MEPs in and out in 2014.

European elections have traditionally seen low turn outs, but one idea to engage voters across the EU, by indirectly electing the next EU Commission president, might persuade them to cast their ballot.
