Danny Alexander: Tax transparency 'critically important'
The government will "sweep away" tax secrecy by forcing so-called shell companies to declare who makes money out of them, David Cameron has said.
As he chairs the G8 summit next week he is expected to raise the issue of global tax enforcement.
Chief Secretary to the Treasury Danny Alexander said tax transparency was "critically important" and that the government was pushing hard to ensure everyone paid their "fair share" of tax.
