Tory MP Peter Bone runs out of time for Thatcher Day
An attempt to re-brand August Bank Holiday as Margaret Thatcher Day has failed in the House of Commons.
Conservative MP Peter Bone tried to introduce a bill in memory of the former prime minister, who died three months ago.
He was loudly heckled by Labour MPs and he was left with only nine seconds to finish speaking.
The measure ran out of parliamentary time just as he made his case, and stands virtually no chance of becoming law.
