IPSA chair: 'We will listen to public on MPs pay'
MPs' pay should be increased to £74,000 a year from 2015, the Commons expenses watchdog has said.
But the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (Ipsa) also recommends cuts to perks such as meal allowances and taxis and a less generous pension scheme.
Ipsa chairman Sir Ian Kennedy told the BBC's Nick Robinson he was willing to listen to the public's views on the recommendations.
"Of course we will listen, but what we will do having listened, is for us," he said.
