Rail union leader Bob Crow calls for a new political party
Rail union leader Bob Crow has been urging trade unions to set up a new left-wing alternative to the Labour Party.
The RMT was expelled from Labour in 2004 because of its refusal to stop giving money to other political parties.
This week Labour leader Ed Miliband outlined proposals to change the financial relationship between his party and affiliated unions - something Bob Crow has described as "scandalous".
Speaking at the Durham Miners' Gala, he told the BBC's Stuart Flinders he believed there is support for a new political party.
