Diane Abbott on Miliband and Falkirk union questions
There was no "machiavellian conspiracy" and everything Unite did "was within the rules", said Diane Abbott about the selection of a new Labour candidate for the Falkirk seat.
The shadow public health minister told the BBC: "I think everybody is anxious to move on from Falkirk."
She said it was a "Westminster bubble story" that her constituents were not talking about, but the leader's team had been keen to show Ed Miliband was "not a puppet of the unions".
When asked by Jo Coburn about her leader's handling of the union funding issue, she claimed that "Ed Miliband was never wrong".
