Farage: UKIP can win Europe poll and cause 'earthquake'

UKIP leader Nigel Farage has predicted his party will come first in next year's European elections and cause "an earthquake in British politics".

Speaking at the UKIP conference in London, Mr Farage said he also believed the local elections, which take place on the same day, could be "even more important" than the party's performance in Europe.

He added: "I think we've got every opportunity on 28 May next year to win hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of council seats up and down this country."
