Rural broadband project 'good value' says Culture Minister

The way high-speed broadband has been rolled out to rural areas of the UK has been criticised by a group of MPs.

In a report, the Commons Public Accounts Committee accuses ministers of mismanaging the £1.5bn project and says BT has exploited its position as the provider of the technology.

Culture Minister Ed Vaizey says he disagrees with the findings and insists the project is ''good value for money.''
