Conservative conference: Osborne 'to freeze fuel duty'

The chancellor announced that fuel duty is to be frozen for the rest of this Parliament, if the savings can be found to pay for it.

George Osborne said the government was getting "public finances back under control".

And he claimed the Conservative party did not just say it was on the side of hard-working people but showed it "day in, day out in the policies we deliver."
