Shapps: No joint Conservative UKIP election candidates
All Conservative Party candidates can only stand on a Tory-only ticket at the next general election, the party chairman has said.
Grant Shapps said the party will stand in every seat and its hopefuls will "only ever be on the ballot paper as Conservative candidates".
And he told Andrew Neil on BBC2's Daily Politics: "We are the people who are going to offer a referendum."
UKIP leader Nigel Farage, who has ruled out any national pact with the Conservatives while David Cameron is leader, claimed "a couple of dozen" Tory MPs would be interested in an election pact with his party.
