Neil Hamilton: UKIP election strategy and no Tory pact
UKIP would not want to make a deal with the "toxic brand" of Conservatives, but was enjoying putting the "UKIP cat among the Tory chickens" and watch them flap about, said Neil Hamilton.
The former Tory MP, who is now UKIP's deputy chairman, told Andrew Neil: "I can't see, with UKIP on the up and up, and the Tories in freefall, why we would to arrest our skyrocketing way forward."
He named several seats where his party could win at Westminster level, and claimed the press was "desperately scared" on UKIP, and keen to run stories attacking his party.
Mr Hamilton was debating with former Tory deputy chairman Lords Dobbs and Andrew Neil on the Daily Politics.
