Peter Bone explains what an MP does in recess

Some viewers may think MPs are on holiday when Parliament is in recess, but Peter Bone revealed his diary for the rest of the week showing he had plenty of work planned.

The Conservative MP reeled off events in Westminster and his Wellingborough constituency, and said: "I am not quite sure where the recess is getting in there really".

He spoke to political sketcher writer Michael White and economist Noreena Hertz after they watched Quentin Letts' film on Parliamentary recesses.

Parliament finishes on Tuesday afternoon for a short break until Monday.
