Nick Clegg: Energy prices 'complex area'

Nick Clegg has said the government is committed to "reducing the pressure" on household fuel bills.

The deputy prime minister's comments follow a denial by government sources that Downing Street is seeking a commitment from energy companies to hold their prices down until 2015.

Mr Clegg said: "It's a very complex area, we're still in discussions and we'll make an announcement as soon as we feel we're ready to do so."
