Autumn Statement: Ed Balls reacts to Osborne's speech

Shadow chancellor Ed Balls has accused the government of standing up for energy companies, hedge funds and high-wage earners, but not working people.

Mr Balls had to shout above MPs to respond to Chancellor George Osborne's Autumn Statement in the House of Commons.

The shadow chancellor said: "The Chancellor is in complete denial... for most people in our country living standards aren't rising... they are falling year on year on year."
