MP paintings and art: Blair, Ashdown, Abbott and Clarke
It is a tradition to mark the time in office of prime ministers and Commons speakers by commissioning portraits to hang in the corridors of the Palace of Westminster.
A Freedom of Information request from the Evening Standard newspaper revealed £250,000 has been spent on pictures and statues, and some of that work has celebrated junior ministers and backbenchers.
