Syria conflict: David Cameron insists UK 'fulfilling moral obligation'

Britain is "fulfilling its moral obligation" in relation to the victims of the crisis in Syria, David Cameron has said.

Labour has moved to force a vote on the acceptance of refugees into the UK, after an appeal by the UNHCR - the United Nations refugee agency - for Western countries to resettle 30,000 people.

Speaking to the BBC's Robert Peston, the prime minister highlighted the aid already being given to Syrian refugees in neighbouring countries and warned that a quota of refugees would not solve the problem.
