British and French leaders disagree on EU reform

Differences have emerged between David Cameron and the French President, Francois Hollande, about the future of the European Union.

The two men, who have been holding talks at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, disagree over whether to revise the EU treaties.

Mr Cameron wants changes to existing EU treaties by 2017, ahead of a referendum on Britain's membership.

Mr Hollande says he wants improvements in the way the EU is run, but sees no need to revise the treaties at present.
