Prof Steve Jones: Genetics, education and Boris Johnson

Boris Johnson spoke of shaking a packet of cereal, making it easier for "some cornflakes to get to the top", when he talked about IQ and grammar schools.

But in a personal film for the Daily Politics, Prof Steve Jones said the Mayor of London had a "deep misunderstanding of genetics", and he spoke about the interplay between nature and nurture.

Prof Jones will debate his film with MPs Anna Soubry and Emma Reynolds on Wednesday's Daily Politics around 12:40 GMT on BBC Two, which will be on iPlayer for seven days.
