Anna Lo on lack of Chinese people in UK politics
The only politician of Chinese descent in any UK legislature, and one of only a few in Europe, said the Chinese were not used to being in politics, and most have preferred business to public life in the UK.
Anna Lo, a member of the legislative assembly in Northern Ireland, where the Chinese community is the largest ethnic minority group, received racist abuse online earlier this year, and this has been raised at PMQs.
She told Andrew Neil on the Daily Politics about the "very, very bad racist comments" after she called for the "tattered" union flags to be removed, and for the painting over of paramilitary murals with gun men.
