'Maria Miller has done the right thing', says David Cameron
Prime Minister David Cameron has repeated his support for Culture Secretary Maria Miller, a Conservative MP who was ordered to apologise after a committee found her attitude to an inquiry into her expenses had breached the parliamentary code of conduct.
Lord Tebbit, the former Conservative Party chairman, has called on Mrs Miller to resign.
Speaking at a job creation announcement for Asda, Mr Cameron said Maria Miller had ''done the right thing'' by making an apology to the Commons and repaying the £5,800 which she had over-claimed for her mortgage.
