UKIP candidate's Lenny Henry tweets spark fresh row

A UKIP candidate has sparked fresh controversy for his party after remarks he made on social media about the comedian Lenny Henry.

William Henwood, who is standing in local elections in north London, also made anti-Islamic comments but told the BBC he did not think his messages on social media were offensive.

The party said any breach of its rules would be investigated.
