European election: Lib Dem result 'as bad as feared'

The Liberal Democrats' result in the European election looks set to be "as bad as I'd feared", the party's president says.

Tim Farron told the BBC that the party was being "punished" for decisions it had taken but that he was still "proud" of the campaign the party had fought and insisted that he would do the same again.
