Labour 'would devolve power to English cities'

Labour plans to devolve more power and resources to English cities and regions in order for transport, housing and skills training to be managed at a regional level, Lord Adonis has said.

The former Cabinet minister said that he is "seriously concerned" about the unbalanced nature of growth in the UK, and praised party leader Ed Miliband's "bold plans" for ensuring economic prosperity can be shared more widely.
