Dog Awareness Week: MPs on dog bites while canvassing

Two MPs who have been bitten by dogs while out canvassing spoke of the attacks to help publicise Dog Awareness Week.

Lib Dem Gordon Birtwistle recalled how he was saved by a mobile phone in a pocket as one bit him, and Conservative Stuart Andrew was trapped in a garden by dogs and he had to be rescued.

Brian Brady from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home gave advice for postal workers and political canvassers on how to avoid being bitten by pets, when he was joined by Milly and Molly.

They spoke to Jo Coburn on the Daily Politics from from Westminster's College Green.
