Nigel Evans: Reselection brings closure one step closer
MP Nigel Evans has said his reselection as a Conservative Party candidate has started to bring him closure after the "torture" of being charged and cleared of several sex offences.
Mr Evans, 56, resigned the party whip and sat as an independent MP as he fought the claims, but will now stand for the Ribble Valley in next year's general election following a secret ballot on Monday.
