David Cameron: 'Air strikes alone will not defeat IS'

David Cameron has acknowledged that air strikes in Iraq will not, by themselves, win the fight against the militant group calling itself Islamic State.

British warplanes are awaiting orders to launch missile attacks against Islamic State (IS) after Parliament backed military action in Iraq.

Speaking to Andrew Marr, Mr Cameron said air strikes were part of a much wider strategy, which was largely dependent on the involvement of the Iraqi people.
