Should the UK recognise Palestine as a state?
MPs are to take part in an historic vote in Parliament that will call on the government to recognise Palestine as a state.
Speaking on the Today programme, Labour MP Grahame Morris said the case to see Palestine as a state is "very strong" and "we should now recognise Palestine's right to statehood".
His Labour colleague, Louise Ellman MP, said there have to be negotiated agreements "so there is a Palestinian state alongside Israel, not instead of Israel".
Grahame Morris will present the motion on Monday as MPs return to the Commons.
