Cameron in 'hopeless position', says UKIP leader Farage
UKIP leader Nigel Farage has said that David Cameron is in a "hopeless position" after the UK was told to pay an extra £1.7bn towards the European Union's budget.
The payment follows new calculations by the EU, which determines how much each member state should contribute based on gross national incomes.
"It's pretty outrageous and I think people will be very very angry," Mr Farage told the BBC.
