Clark, Goldsmith, Docherty, Field, Fuller in recall debate

The House of Commons has approved measures to allow MPs to be recalled in cases of serious misconduct, and then face a public vote.

Among the amendments passed was a proposal to reduce the length of time an MP would have to be suspended from the Commons to trigger a recall process.

The bill proposes that a by-election would be triggered if 10% of constituents sign a petition after an MP is found guilty of "serious wrongdoing" by Parliament.

This clip covers speeches in Monday night's debate from Greg Clark, Zac Goldsmith, Thomas Docherty, Mark Field, and Richard Fuller.
