Osborne: 'Get on top of problems to prepare for future'
George Osborne has said that people who say that the UK can take longer to deal with its deficit really mean that "Britain should borrow more."
The Chancellor, who was on a tour of north east England, was speaking to 5 live's John Pienaar.
Mr Osborne also told the BBC that the "prudent and sensible" thing to do was for the country to get on top of its problems "so you are prepared for the future".
