PMQs: Cameron and Miliband on HSBC and tax claims

Exchanges between David Cameron and Ed Miliband descended into insults as they ended their battles on the HSBC bank and tax evasion claims.

The Labour leader cited Andy Coulson, the former communications director in Downing Street who was jailed, and then told the prime minister: "There is something rotten at the heart of the Tory party and it's him."

Mr Cameron accused the Labour leader of "desperate stuff" before listing different groups he claimed the party could no longer talk to, including nuns, which meant the opposition "haven't got a prayer".
