Nigel Farage: My comments are not about race but jobs

UKIP party leader Nigel Farage has said his party would scrap much of the legislation designed to prevent racial discrimination in work.

He was speaking in a Channel 4 documentary to be shown next week.

His comments have been heavily criticised, with Downing Street saying they are "deeply concerning" and Labour branding them "shocking".

Speaking to the Today programme, Mr Farage said "I didn't mention race at all...I am making an argument for the unemployed youth in this country, both black and white."
