Fallon: Government has long-term commitment to defence

Britain's defence strategy urgently needs updating, according to a government report.

The report, by the Commons Defence Committee, suggests the UK's defence system is not equipped to cope with escalating security threats.

However, Defence Secretary Michael Fallon said the UK was spending 2% of GDP on defence and had met NATO targets.
