Redwood wants EU change to 'restore democracy' in UK
John Redwood has said he wants David Cameron to secure fundamental changes in the UK's relationship with the EU to "restore democracy".
The former cabinet minister is among backers of "Conservatives for Britain" a new group pressuring the prime minister to free the UK from "backward-looking EU bureaucracy".
He claimed he was not launching a campaign to leave but was "ambitious for our country" and believed the European Union was "holding us back".
