PMQs: Osborne takes first question on London housing

The opening question to George Osborne at his first time taking Prime Minister's Questions was from Heidi Alexander who asked about building social homes and housing benefit in London.

The chancellor said he was happy to visit her Lewisham surgery, and that he was aware of the "acute housing shortage" in London.

And he told the Labour MP that "we built more council housing in the last five years" than the last Labour government did in 13 years.
