Blunkett: Labour in 'emotional trauma'

The Labour Party is in "bewilderment" and "emotional trauma" following its election defeat, David Blunkett has said.

Labour was not debating how to fix itself properly and must avoid being painted only as a party of opposition, the former home secretary told Radio 4's Today programme.

"We should develop over the next two years a very clear alternative set of values and a philosophy that leads again, that doesn't just respond to what the Conservatives are doing," he said.
