Sturgeon: Corbyn must prove Labour can win UK elections
Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has called on new Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn to give an early commitment to vote with the Scottish nationalists against the renewal of the Trident nuclear programme.
The SNP leader congratulated Mr Corbyn on his victory but warned that the "deeply and bitterly divided Labour party" would have to prove it has a "credible chance of winning a UK general election" or Scots would conclude that her party was the only alternative to the Conservatives "north and south of the border".
