David Cameron and Jeremy Corbyn clash over police numbers

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn questioned David Cameron about potential cuts to police numbers, amid concerns about the impact of the government's Spending Review on police funding.

The Labour leader asked whether it would be wise at a time when the UK faced a growing terror threat.

The prime minister said the government was protecting the counter-terrorism budget, and contended that there had been an increase in neighbourhood policing numbers.

He also hit back with a jibe about Mr Corbyn's view on the police's "shoot-to-kill" policy.
