Police cuts would make it more difficult to fight terrorism
The home secretary has been warned that expected cuts to policing budgets in next week's spending review may "reduce very significantly" the UK's ability to respond to an attack like the one carried out in Paris.
The advice was delivered in a restricted letter prepared for Theresa May and the prime minister, by one of the UK's most senior police officers.
