Islamic State conflict: PM David Cameron to make case for UK action

Britain could be closer to a second parliamentary vote on approving military action against so-called Islamic State in Syria.

Prime Minister David Cameron has welcomed a UN Security Council resolution to "redouble" action against IS, in the wake of the deadly attacks in Paris, which were claimed by the group.

But Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said the priority should be a negotiated end to the Syrian civil war.
