Defence Secretary Michael Fallon: 'Very direct risk to this country'

The Defence Secretary, Michael Fallon, has said that Islamist terrorists pose a "very direct risk to this country."

Speaking on the Andrew Marr show, he set out his case for carrying out air strikes in Syria, adding that France had specifically asked Britain to help in the air-strikes because of specialist equipment held by the Royal Air Force.

The Labour Leader, Jeremy Corbyn, has said he opposes air strikes.
