Norman Lamont on leaving the EU
Former Conservative chancellor Norman Lamont spoke to the Daily Politics about the UK's EU negotiations after taking place in a "war games" exercise simulating how the talks might pan out.
Lord Lamont, who helped act out negotiations following a UK vote to leave the EU, dismissed claims other countries would refuse to work with Britain if it quit, saying a new arrangement could be formed in two years.
Fellow Daily Politics guest Liz Kendall disagreed, saying the British people were aware there would be "consequences" for the UK of quitting the union.
