Norman Lamb on Liberal Democrat election results
Norman Lamb said there were "green shoots after a near-fatal knockout blow last year" for his party after a series of elections on Thursday.
The Liberal Democrat MP said the the party was fighting back with wins in Scotland and Wales, and modest gains in England.
The former leadership hopeful said the there was a "desperate need in the country for a liberal progressive movement", claiming Labour had "gone way off to the left", and the Conservatives were left unchallenged leading to "arrogant and complacent government".
