New UKIP leader Diane James addresses party conference
Diane James addresses the UKIP party conference after being elected its new leader.
The MEP for South East England came top in a contest of five candidates to succeed Nigel Farage. She ended her speech challenging Theresa May to look at the "opposition party in waiting".
As well as praising her predecessor, she warned the conference in Brighton that until the "ink is dry" on the documents to bring Brexit into force, "we're still in" the European Union.
In a message to PM Theresa May she added: "Get on with it, invoke Article 50."
