Brexit: Welby says second referendum would 'add to divisions'
The Archbishop of Canterbury says the EU referendum "divided the nation" and a second referendum would be "undemocratic and unwise".
Speaking in the House of Lords during debate on the Brexit bill, the Most Reverend Justin Welby said a period of healing was needed and an attempt at "national reconciliation" - not something that would "add to the divisions" and "deepen the bitterness" over the issue.
