Theresa May has signed the letter that will formally begin the UK's departure from the European Union. It will be delivered to European Council President Donald Tusk later today.
Jonathan Faull served in the European Commission for 38 years. As the former most senior British official in the Commission Mr Faull said the Brexit bill for the UK will depend on a range of commitments that have to be "respected".
