Productivity won't return to 'pre-crisis levels'

The deputy governor of the Bank of England has said that productivity rates in the UK are not expected to return to pre-crisis levels.

Ben Broadbent told the Today programme they do expect some recovery but that it would be slower than before the crisis. Mr Broadbent also defended the rise in interest rates.
