Brexit: European Parliament 'does not want to penalise UK'

Dutch MEP Sophie in 't Veld, deputy to the European Parliament chief Brexit negotiator, has said that the organisation does not want to punish the UK.

But speaking to BBC Newsnight, she said that the UK’s plan for the Irish border after Brexit was “clearly” not going to work.
